Welcome to Asia Executive Meeting breakfast seminar April 2
Shipping – increased competition in a globalized World – Europe vs Asia
Today, one in three containers is exported from North Asia to the rest of the world (excluding Asia). The Intra-Asia trade is the world’s single largest container market at more than 20 percent of the total global container movements and increasing in importance year on year. The APM Moller Maersk Group’s turnover in China has been doubling every 3-4 years for the past 15 years.
Welcome to a breakfast meeting with CHRISTIAN JUUL-NYHOLM, managing director Maersk Line Scandinavia. The presentation will include a general introduction to Maersk group and its four businesses which include Maersk Line, APM Terminals, Maersk Oil and Maersk Drilling, with focus on the shipping operations. Through these companies and several others, the group employs roughly 89 000 people, and generated in 2012 revenues amounting to USD 59 billion, thus one of Scandinavia’s largest companies.
Discussion will include: integrating corporate values, staff recruitment, and CSR related issues.
