Donors
The purpose of the Sweden-Japan Foundation (SJF) is to enhance relations between Sweden and Japan by providing information on Japan in Sweden, scholarships as well as technical and scientific seminars.
Since the 1970’s, the Sweden-Japan Foundation has awarded over 1,000 scholarships covering studies, research and internships in Japan. SJF has also assisted The Scandinavia-Japan Sasakawa Foundation and The Scholarship Foundation for Studies of Japanese Society (Stipendiestiftelsen för studier av japanskt samhällsliv) with the administration of their scholarships. The three foundations combined have distributed over 3,000 Japan-scholarships to Swedish citizens or foreign nationals with a permanent affiliation to Sweden. SJF’s scholarship activities have been made possible by collaboration with and/or donations from many important donors.
